Paediatrics

Pediatrics The Department of Pediatrics at Shanghai United Family Hospital can provide your child with high-quality outpatient and inpatient treatment services. Our pediatricians are experienced in pediatric care and treatment both in China and abroad. Children are the treasures of every family and deserve a high standard of pediatric care.

Our pediatricians are experienced and specially trained to help prevent and manage a wide range of health problems in infants and toddlers, children, and adolescents. Children have special health-care needs. Our medical professionals, who have education and work experience overseas, have a deep understanding of children's physical, emotional, and social development.

Children may often speak little because they are too young or shy, but our pediatricians deeply understand the importance of listening carefully to what children have to say.

Children often show symptoms differently from adults and therefore require different medications and care approaches. Our doctors have received special training in this area and are able to recognize the importance of these differences, especially in newborns and children.

We provide children in Shanghai with a full range of services, including preventive care. We work closely with pediatric specialists in China and abroad and with professional medical staff in our Psychology Counseling Department, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Department, and Surgery Department. This enables us to fully assess children with special needs and recommend appropriate treatment methods. If necessary, we can also help your child find affiliated specialty care services.
