Shanghai International Medical Pediatrics is a multidisciplinary integrated department comprising Pediatric Respiratory Medicine, Pediatric Gastroenterology, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Nephrology, Pediatric Neurology, Child Health Care, Neonatology, Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Traditional Chinese Medicine, Child Psychology, Dermatology, Otorhinolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Oral Medicine, and other specialties. The department is dedicated to comprehensive physical examinations, health care, vaccinations, disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment, traditional Chinese medicine conditioning, and pediatric rehabilitation. The team consists of 3 associate chief physicians and senior attending physicians from tertiary hospitals, all with more than 20 years of work experience; it has extensive clinical experience in common and frequently occurring pediatric diseases, difficult and complex diseases, and critical illnesses, and also specializes in child health care, child growth and development, childhood vaccination, and common neonatal diseases. The hospital engages in multidisciplinary collaboration with many pediatric specialty hospitals; its contracted experts include more than ten expert professors in pediatric internal medicine, pediatric surgery, child health care, child psychology, pediatric rehabilitation, and other fields, who have profound expertise and extensive experience in their respective fields and promptly help pediatric patients resolve specialty-specific difficult and complex conditions.
