Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Department

The Department of Otolaryngology currently has 5 doctors, including department director Liu Rongyao, who has nearly 20 years of experience in otolaryngology, and attending physician Li Xiangcui, who has more than 10 years of experience working in Class III Grade A hospitals. For common diseases in this specialty, the department team has extensive experience in diagnosis and treatment, including acute and chronic otitis media, otitis externa, deafness and hearing loss, tinnitus, and vertigo; acute and chronic rhinitis, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, nasal polyps, adenoid hypertrophy in children, tonsillar hypertrophy, adult snoring, acute and chronic pharyngitis, vocal cord polyps, epiglottic cysts, and more.

The department is equipped with a PENTAX integrated otolaryngology diagnostic and treatment unit, a PENTAX electronic laryngoscope, a STORZ ear endoscope, a rigid laryngoscope, a nasal endoscope, acoustic immittance testing, pure-tone audiometry, and other examination equipment, providing patients with comprehensive specialist examinations. The department maintains close collaborations with the otolaryngology departments of several Class III Grade A hospitals in Shanghai. In otology, rhinology, and laryngology, it collaborates with numerous highly reputable and experienced experts in Shanghai. The team has well-established technical expertise and can provide patients with high-quality medical services. Services are available all day, Monday through Sunday.

The Department of Head and Neck Surgery currently has 3 doctors. Department director Liu Rongyao has nearly 20 years of experience in head and neck surgery. After working for more than 10 years in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at Renji Hospital affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, he came to Shanghai International Medical Center to serve as director of Head and Neck Surgery. The department currently maintains close collaborations with the head and neck surgery departments of Cancer Hospital, Ruijin Hospital, Renji Hospital, and Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital.
