The Department of Pharmacy of Shanghai International Medical Center is a clinical medical-technical department integrating specialized pharmaceutical services and standardized pharmaceutical management. The Department of Pharmacy upholds SIMC’s core principle, “Let medical services be filled with care,” remains patient-centered, and provides full-process pharmaceutical services such as outpatient medication consultation and inpatient pharmaceutical care. It ensures the rationality, safety, and effectiveness of clinical medication, enhances the core value of medical services, participates in multidisciplinary team (MDT) diagnosis and treatment, and provides distinctive pharmaceutical services including chronic disease medication management, medication evaluation for antitumor drugs, and monitoring of anti-infective drug use. The Department of Pharmacy team takes providing patients with specialized pharmaceutical services as its goal and continuously improves its professional standards. Its members have strong learning abilities and solid professional fundamentals, and actively participate in industry activities in Shanghai. In 2020, it received the annual “Advanced Collective of the Department of Pharmacy” award from the Pharmacy Branch of the Shanghai Association of Social Medical Institutions; in 2021, it received the Excellence Award at the second “Struggle Cup” Shanghai Young Pharmacists Professional Skills Competition; and in 2022, it received second prize at the seventh Shanghai Young Pharmacists Professional Skills Competition. The Department of Pharmacy will never forget its original aspiration and will always uphold the principle of providing patients with specialized pharmaceutical services, contributing its share along the path toward a Healthy China.
