Superficial Ultrasound Department

The Department of Superficial Ultrasound of Shandong Provincial Hospital is a professional ultrasound team integrating medical care, teaching, and research, bringing together many experts with profound expertise in superficial ultrasound.

The department currently has 17 ultrasound diagnostic physicians, including 4 chief physicians, 4 deputy chief physicians, 7 attending physicians, and 2 physicians; 7 hold doctoral degrees in medicine and 9 hold master's degrees in medicine. There is 1 renowned expert and specially appointed professor of Shandong Provincial Hospital, as well as 5 master's supervisors from Shandong First Medical University and Binzhou Medical University. Several experts hold important positions such as chairperson and deputy chairperson in national- and provincial-level academic organizations.

At present, in the ultrasound diagnosis of superficial organs such as the thyroid, breast, salivary glands, parathyroid glands, and superficial lymph nodes, the department's diagnostic accuracy and clinical concordance rate are both at leading levels within the province and nationwide, and its influence is increasing year by year.

Over the past three years, the department has undertaken 2 National Natural Science Foundation projects and 3 provincial-level projects, and has published dozens of academic papers indexed by SCI.

In the future, the department will conduct in-depth exploration in areas including the early diagnosis of major diseases, precision medicine, and artificial-intelligence-assisted diagnosis, striving to build a first-class ultrasound team in China and safeguard the health of the people.
