Neurology
1. Neurointerventional Therapy Our department can independently provide emergency intravenous thrombolysis, arterial thrombectomy, and interventional treatment for cerebral venous sinus thrombosis 24 hours a day. We routinely perform interventional treatment for intracranial arterial stenosis, recanalization of intracranial arterial occlusion, embolization of intracranial aneurysms, and extracranial arterial stenosis/occlusion (carotid artery stenosis, vertebral artery stenosis, and subclavian artery stenosis/occlusion).
2. Neurocritical Care We specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of severe cerebrovascular diseases, status epilepticus, severe encephalitis, myasthenic crisis, and various neurological critical illnesses. We can perform long-term multimodal neurological function monitoring (long-term bedside video EEG monitoring, quantitative EEG monitoring, TCD, BIS, etc.), routinely perform critical-care-related diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and provide specialized neurocritical-care techniques such as plasma exchange.
3. Headache We specialize in the standardized diagnosis and treatment of various types of headache, including migraine, cluster headache, and tension-type headache. We can complete routine headache examinations, including cranial CT/MRI, various functional magnetic resonance examinations, PET, head and neck vascular imaging, and the TCD bubble study. We have migraine-specific medications, including GCRP receptor antagonists and triptans, as well as various other headache medications. We can provide multiple headache-related treatments, including transcranial magnetic stimulation, botulinum toxin injection, and nerve-block therapy. In addition, through close collaboration with the Department of Neurosurgery, we have established mature multidisciplinary team (MDT) treatment for refractory headache.
4. Neuroimmunological Diseases Our neuroimmunology subspecialty group is the deputy chair institution of the Standardized Diagnosis and Treatment Project for Myasthenia Gravis of the China Rare Disease Alliance, the deputy chair institution of the Shaanxi Provincial Specialized Alliance for Myasthenia Gravis, one of the first member institutions of the MSNMO base of the China Rare Disease Alliance, and the deputy chair institution of the Shaanxi Provincial Alliance for Central Nervous System Demyelinating Diseases (Rare Diseases). We provide standardized treatment with various novel immune-targeted biologic agents for myasthenia gravis, multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder, and other diseases, with diagnostic and treatment capabilities aligned with international standards. A neonatal receptor antagonist for the treatment of neuroimmunological diseases was approved as a new hospital technology and therapy project in 2024, and we successfully treated multiple rare, critically ill, and diagnostically challenging neuroimmunological patients. We received an Excellence Award in the 2024 China Rare Disease Conference poster solicitation. Sina.com, Huashang.com, Sunshine.com, Xi'an Release, and several other mainstream media outlets reported on “A New Neuroimmunological Therapy: Helping a Tibetan Patient with Guillain–Barré Syndrome Regain Vitality.” We have achieved a certain degree of influence in Shaanxi, Qinghai, Shanxi, Gansu, Henan, Ningxia, and other regions.
