The Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery of Qingdao Municipal Hospital was formally established in 1999 and is one of the earliest tertiary Grade A public hospitals in the province to engage in the plastic and aesthetic specialty. Our department has accumulated rich clinical experience in aesthetic surgery, plastic surgery, minimally invasive plastic surgery, medical aesthetic technology and other aspects. It routinely carries out various plastic and aesthetic operations throughout the body, correction of various congenital and traumatic deformities, and various minimally invasive techniques. Taking aesthetics and harmony as the benchmark, the department provides individualized plastic and aesthetic plans. We adopt our own innovative new procedure of double eyelid plasty, making the double eyelid shape more symmetrical and smooth and the double eyelid result more lasting. We use a scarless or micro-scar approach for epicanthoplasty (that is, opening the inner canthus), avoiding or reducing scar formation to the greatest extent (surgery in the inner canthal area is prone to scarring). In brow-lift surgery, absorbable sutures are used for multi-layered subcutaneous and intradermal suturing, with no external sutures, so postoperative scarring is lighter and there are no suture-cutting marks. A relatively concealed incision is used for external transcutaneous lower blepharoplasty, and the surgical incision scar is lighter. A smaller incision is used for transconjunctival internal lower blepharoplasty, with no visible external incision, rapid recovery and good results.

Individualized rhinoplasty is adopted, precisely combining protective auricular cartilage with a nasal implant, so that the shaping is more beautiful and natural and the protective effect is stronger. Bilateral or unilateral auricular cartilage is used for comprehensive rhinoplasty, with minimal trauma and easy acceptance by clients; this method can also be applied to the correction of nasal deformity after cleft lip and palate surgery, with good results. We also have relatively rich experience in rib cartilage rhinoplasty.

Concealed axillary incisions or circumareolar incisions are used for dual-plane implant breast augmentation, making breast shaping more beautiful and natural.

Autologous fat is gently aspirated and finely processed, with little damage to fat cells and a high survival rate, after which individualized filling of the whole face, breasts, buttocks and other areas can be carried out.

A minimally invasive small incision is used for vaginal tightening, preserving all vaginal mucosa and folding the vaginal wall tissue in layers; the surgical trauma is small, recovery is rapid, the tightening effect is good, and it can effectively improve postpartum urinary incontinence and anal sphincter laxity.

A small incision of about 1 cm is used for minimally invasive curettage of axillary osmidrosis; the trauma is small and recovery is rapid. The axillary skin is preserved, so after recovery scars will not affect upper limb movement.

Aesthetic concepts are used for excision of body surface masses and suturing of facial trauma; subcutaneous and intradermal absorbable sutures are used, and medical glue or suture-free tape is applied externally to bond the incision, so scarring is reduced and there are no suture-cutting marks. We also have relatively rich experience in flap repair or skin graft repair after excision of larger body surface masses.

We also have relatively rich experience in botulinum toxin injection therapy, hyaluronic acid injection filling, thread-lift facial rejuvenation and laser treatment.
