Eighth Outpatient Department
The Shijingshan Outpatient Department of Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology is the eighth branch directly affiliated with Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology. Located on the third floor of Ruida Building in Compound No. 74, Lugu Road, the outpatient department has a medical area of 3,000 square meters. It is currently equipped with 35 dental treatment rooms and fully covers seven core specialties: oral and maxillofacial surgery, endodontics, periodontics, implant dentistry, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. It has also innovatively integrated resources from traditional Chinese medicine, internal medicine, and surgery, breaking the limitations of a single specialty and establishing a one-stop care model of “oral care at the core, with multidisciplinary collaboration,” providing holistic solutions for patients with systemic diseases or requiring rehabilitation and recuperative care.
The outpatient department provides oral pre-examination and oral health education services and is equipped with a waiting and rest area, a temporary work and study area, a book bar, and a water bar counter, meeting patients’ diverse needs while they wait. The clinical area includes a pediatric dentistry area, a VIP consultation and treatment area, an oral diagnosis and treatment area, and TCM, internal medicine, and surgery rehabilitation areas. The functional zones are clearly defined, and the environment combines the rigor of modern medical care with the warmth of humanistic care.
The outpatient department will also actively implement Peking University Stomatology’s whole-hospital “one-chessboard” staffing policy. A number of mid-level and senior clinical experts from the main hospital will provide outpatient services at the department on a long-term basis, delivering medical services of consistent quality between the main hospital and its branches. It will also introduce sweeping robots, robots for delivering disinfection equipment, an instrument-tracking mini-program, customer-service intelligent agents, and other digital tools to advance innovation in medical services and management, creating a new hallmark of medical services characterized by “new quality productive forces.”
The consultation rooms have introduced a CAD/CAM denture fabrication system, intraoral scanners, 3D printers, cone-beam CT, digital dental radiography, and other high-precision digital diagnostic and treatment equipment, providing patients with high-quality oral healthcare. The rooms use a separate dental-chair layout to optimize the workflow and movement routes for clinicians, nurses, and patients. Instruments move in a single direction through the cleaning and disinfection room, ensuring safe and reliable disinfection and sterilization and creating a comfortable care experience throughout the entire process.
Carrying forward the glory of Peking University Stomatology and safeguarding the nation’s healthy smiles, the Shijingshan Outpatient Department, as a branch of Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology, has always upheld the spirit of the main hospital’s motto, “Deep Virtue, Esteem for Learning, Excellence in Medicine, and Service to the World,” and is committed to conveying in depth the superb technology and humanistic care of the National Center for Stomatology. Here, we uphold Peking University Stomatology’s gold standard and are committed to providing the public with outstanding and accessible oral health services.
