Implantology Department

The Department of Implantology at Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology currently has 10 doctors, all of whom hold master's degrees or higher, including 1 postdoctoral fellow and 8 doctoral degree holders. The department has 1 doctor with a senior professional title, 4 with associate senior professional titles, and 5 with intermediate professional titles.

The Department of Implantology of the Second Outpatient Clinic undertakes the clinical, teaching, and research tasks related to implant dentistry at the Second Outpatient Clinic. Its main clinical work includes implant surgery and implant prosthetic restoration for single- and multiple-tooth loss, implant treatment for complete tooth loss, implant treatment related to severe periodontitis, minimally invasive tooth extraction before implantation, temporary restoration during the edentulous period before implantation, and implant-related comprehensive dental treatment.

The department places equal emphasis on clinical care, teaching, and research. It also undertakes some of the external teaching related to implant dentistry at the Second Outpatient Clinic of Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology, as well as the teaching and training of visiting physicians and nurses. It conducts multiple implant-related research projects, has published numerous articles in China and abroad, and has served as the principal translator for multiple professional books on implant dentistry.
