General Treatment Department II
The Department of Comprehensive Treatment II of Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology was established in 2008 and is located on the west side of the sixth floor of the hospital’s outpatient building. The department has 34 comprehensive dental treatment units, as well as a range of advanced dental treatment equipment and instruments. It comprises five specialties: operative dentistry and endodontics, prosthodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, periodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Each specialty has a team of physicians with intermediate or senior professional titles, extensive clinical experience, and teaching experience. The department undertakes clinical internship teaching for medical school students and standardized training for residents. With multiple specialties concentrated within the department, it not only provides diagnosis and treatment for common oral diseases, but can also treat some difficult and complicated cases and facilitate consultations and referrals within the department. Beginning in 2014, the department introduced the “Comprehensive Dental Service,” providing first-visit patients with comprehensive examination, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Common oral diseases in operative dentistry, periodontics, prosthodontics, and oral and maxillofacial surgery can all be treated by comprehensive physicians, providing patients with one-stop service and avoiding the inconvenience caused by referrals among multiple departments. Providing patients with high-quality and convenient treatment is the department’s mission.
The Comprehensive Treatment II Department of Building C of Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology officially began providing services on March 1, 2016. All medical and nursing personnel are assigned by the main campus of Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology. It is located on the second floor of Building C of the First Outpatient Department of Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology. Doctors from the Comprehensive Treatment II Department of the main campus take turns providing services in Building C; the doctors currently providing services are primarily attending physicians and residents. The treatment is guided by the principle of comprehensive care, with emphasis on comprehensive full-mouth planning and treatment, providing one-stop oral diagnosis and treatment services.
