The Interventional Diagnosis and Treatment Center of Peking University People's Hospital was established in December 2010 and is a shared platform for multidisciplinary interventional diagnosis and treatment procedures throughout the hospital. At present, the Interventional Diagnosis and Treatment Center has 1 chief physician, 2 supervisory nurses, and 11 nurses and nursing specialists. Its routine daily scope of diagnostic and treatment services includes interventional treatment of coronary artery disease, electrophysiological pacing and radiofrequency ablation, structural heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, peripheral arterial disease, embolization for hemorrhagic diseases, portal hypertension, and malignant tumors, as well as related diagnostic and interventional procedures. These services place relatively high demands on the professional foundations and work capabilities of clinical nursing staff in order to meet the needs and characteristics of different types of interventional diagnosis and treatment procedures.
