Psychology
The Department of Psychology at Peking University International Hospital was established in December 2014. Since its inception, the department has provided high-level mental and psychological health services through medical care characterized by “sincerity, attentiveness, patience, and meticulousness,” adhering to a humanistic philosophy of “putting every visitor at the center.” Under the leadership of the department’s two successive directors, it has developed from a single focus on pharmacological treatment into a precision diagnosis and treatment model centered on the patient, featuring individualized treatment plans that integrate medication, psychological care, and social support. The Department of Psychology currently has 2 chief physicians, 3 associate chief physicians, and 2 attending physicians, all of whom have many years of clinical experience in mental health and psychology-related specialties, as well as strong medical backgrounds. Leveraging the multidisciplinary strengths of our hospital, the department works collaboratively to advance the development of psychosomatic and behavioral medicine, promote harmony within individuals, families, and society, uphold a people-oriented approach, and implement the biopsychosocial medical model and a comprehensive, life-cycle healthcare model. We provide compassionate medical services and meet the growing demand for mental and psychological health among the public.
