The Department of Pain Medicine is a comprehensive department integrating clinical care, scientific research, and teaching. It currently has a well-structured talent team and several outstanding experts, and is equipped with a variety of advanced pain diagnosis and treatment devices. It has accumulated extensive case experience in the diagnosis and minimally invasive interventional treatment of chronic pain and has received widespread acclaim from patients. The department has three subspecialties: bone and joint pain, neuropathic pain, and cancer pain. It possesses a variety of large-scale treatment equipment, including color Doppler ultrasound, an ozone therapy device, a low-temperature plasma therapy device, a radiofrequency therapy device, a shock-wave therapy device, a dedicated PRP centrifuge, and a transforaminal endoscopic surgical system. It uses methods such as local injections, Huangdi Internal Needle, acupotomy, and PRP to treat various types of pain and difficult-to-diagnose conditions, including spine-related diseases, osteoarthropathy, neuralgia, soft-tissue diseases, indeterminate statement syndrome, sudden deafness, and gastroparesis, as well as non-painful diseases; it performs various advanced minimally invasive interventional procedures to treat cervical and lumbar spine diseases, neuropathic pain, cancer pain, visceral pain, and vascular ischemic pain. It is especially committed to pain relief for patients with advanced cancer. Relying on the advantages of our hospital’s medical consortium and using modern information technology, it jointly manages home-based cancer pain patients with community hospitals, receiving high praise from patients and their families. The Department of Pain Medicine is dedicated to basic and clinical pain research.
