Cardiopulmonary Function Room
The Cardiopulmonary Function Department was established in July 1995. It is primarily responsible for performing, evaluating, and diagnosing electrocardiography, HOLTER, and pulmonary function examinations for outpatients, emergency patients, and inpatients throughout the hospital. It is one of the indispensable departments providing clinical support for oncology treatment at the hospital. The department has developed gradually and currently covers the following examination and diagnostic services: 12-lead electrocardiography, the atropine test, a 24-hour ambulatory electrocardiography monitoring system, and pulmonary function testing, including: ventilatory function testing, diffusion function testing (rebreathing method, single-breath method), residual volume measurement, and impulse oscillometry pulmonary resistance measurement. The department’s current equipment is as follows: 5 electrocardiographs, 5 MedEx ECG systems; 2 bedside ECG machines, 2 HOLTER dynamic 12-lead synchronous ECG machines, and 2 German Jaeger MASTERSEREEN BODY pulmonary function machines. It also has 1 self-service ECG reporting system and 2 self-service ECG report printers. The current staff comprises 1 associate chief physician, 5 physicians, 2 technicians-in-charge, 2 technicians, and 5 assistant technicians. Under the pressure of an annual workload of over 100000 ECG visits, over 9000 ambulatory ECG visits, over 10000 pulmonary function visits, and over 50000 clinical trial visits, not a single error or dispute has occurred. All department staff are motivated to advance and continually improve, rising to the challenge of reaching new heights in medical quality, diagnostic standards, and scientific research and technical capabilities.
