VIP-II Ward
The VIP-II Ward is our hospital’s special-needs ward, established in 2009, with 7 single rooms equipped with good facilities and private bathrooms, providing special-needs medical services. It has a team of 10 physicians specializing in digestive system oncology and a nursing team of 12. Of these, 8 hold doctoral degrees, and 6 hold senior professional titles. Our department adheres to the philosophy of “care and comfort, standardized treatment” to provide patients with a comfortable, high-quality medical environment and special-needs medical services. We have consistently centered all our work on “putting patients first and improving the quality and safety of diagnosis and treatment,” striving to build a highly demanding, high-standard digestive system oncology medical team. While providing special-needs medical care, we also provide patients covered by medical insurance with general outpatient services in digestive system specialties and inpatient treatment in medical-insurance-covered day wards, including chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and other treatments for malignant tumors of the digestive system, such as esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, hepatobiliary tract cancer, and pancreatic cancer. We carry out preoperative neoadjuvant therapy, postoperative adjuvant therapy, conversion therapy, and multidisciplinary comprehensive treatment, with the primary goals of increasing patients’ cure rates and prolonging survival. Over the past ten years, the department has undertaken multiple basic research projects, including projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Beijing Qingmiao Program, and the Beijing Natural Science Foundation, and has conducted and participated in multiple clinical studies on esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, and other diseases, publishing dozens of papers in Chinese- and English-language journals. Team members hold academic positions in the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology (CSCO), the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association (CACA), the Beijing Anti-Cancer Association, and the Beijing Society for Cancer Prevention and Control.
