Shanghai Women's Endocrine Diagnosis and Treatment Center
Shanghai Women's Endocrinology Diagnosis and Treatment Center
In the 1950s, Professors Zheng Huaimei and Li Yongxian established a gynecological endocrinology clinic and began conducting reproductive hormone testing. In 1997, the Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau approved the establishment of the “Shanghai Women's Endocrinology Diagnosis and Treatment Center” at the Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital and appointed Professor Yu Chuanxin as the center's director. It is currently led by Professor Lin Jinfang. The center now possesses r and H isotope detection instruments, automated enzyme immunoassay analyzers, cytokine testing equipment, and other diagnostic devices. It conducts systematic research on female reproductive endocrine diseases and has accumulated extensive clinical experience in conditions including amenorrhea, infertility, hyperandrogenemia, precocious puberty, and gonadal developmental abnormalities. It has received multiple awards and grants, including grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Shanghai Municipal Natural Science Foundation, National Sixth Five-Year Plan key research projects, and the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award. It also took the lead in establishing national continuing education programs, including the “National Training Course on Advances in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Female Reproductive Endocrine Disorders” and the “National Training Course on Advances in Endoscopic Diagnosis and Treatment of Female Infertility,” training specialized technical personnel for regions throughout the country.
