Infectious Diseases

1. Basic information: The Department of Infectious Diseases was established in 2016. In 2018, an independent Infectious Diseases Department ward was established. General outpatient and specialist outpatient services are provided year-round. The department has an independent Infectious Diseases Department ward, complete equipment, and highly experienced medical and nursing personnel, enabling it to provide patients with professional medical services. It has contributed to the diagnosis and treatment, monitoring, and prevention of infectious diseases in Suzhou Industrial Park. The department persists in carrying out the “One Satisfaction, Four Standardizations” activity, assigning responsibility for all daily medical and nursing work to specific individuals, conducting checks by division, and standardizing medical practices. 2. Bed capacity: The hospital currently has 10 beds. 3. Personnel team: The department currently has 4 physicians and 11 nursing personnel, including 3 chief and deputy chief physicians, 1 attending physician, 1 postgraduate student pursuing a master’s degree, and 1 master’s student currently enrolled. 4. Equipment configuration: The hospital is equipped with a large biochemical and immunological laboratory, a microbial identification laboratory, TCD, SIEMENS 1.5T and 3.0T magnetic resonance imaging, 64-slice and 640-slice spiral CT, 3D-DSA, PET-CT, and other equipment. 5. Clinical specialties: Diagnosis and treatment of infection-related diseases (infectious diseases of the respiratory tract, gastrointestinal tract, and other systems, or communicable diseases); diagnosis and treatment of diseases related to fever of unknown origin and liver damage of unknown cause; diagnosis and treatment of viral hepatitis, and early screening and treatment of cirrhosis and liver cancer; medical treatment of pleural diseases (pleural effusion, pneumothorax, etc.); health monitoring and treatment guidance for fatty liver, steatohepatitis, and other diseases. 6. Research and teaching: The department’s medical and nursing personnel are frequently invited to participate in national and provincial academic exchange conferences, where they exchange knowledge and learn from one another, and they have extensive experience in clinical, teaching, and scientific research work. They have successively published more than 10 papers in multiple journals.
