1. Basic information: The Department of Dermatology was established in 2005 and currently handles 300–400 outpatient visits per day. 2. Team: The department has 7 medical and nursing staff, all with master's degrees or above, including 1 chief physician, 1 associate chief physician, 3 attending physicians, and 1 resident physician. The current department head is Professor Shen Kai (沈铠), who has served as council member of the Jiangsu Dermatology Society of the Chinese Medical Association, chairman of the Suzhou Dermatology Branch, and deputy head of the Suzhou Technical Guidance Group for Sexually Transmitted Diseases and AIDS. He has long been engaged in clinical work, excels in the treatment of various skin diseases and sexually transmitted diseases, and enjoys a high reputation and influence in the Suzhou area. Under the leadership of the department head, physicians have been sent in succession to major hospitals across the country for further training, further improving the department's diagnostic and treatment standards. 3. Equipment: microwave therapy device and high-frequency electroionization device: for treating pigmented nevi, common warts, fibromas, age spots, pigmented patches, etc. German Waldmann ultraviolet phototherapy device: for treating vitiligo, psoriasis, pityriasis rosea, etc. miraDry microwave system: for treating axillary osmidrosis (bromhidrosis) and hyperhidrosis. 4. Clinical features: (1) skilled in the treatment of acne, psoriasis, eczema, tinea corporis and other diseases; (2) cosmetic dermatologic surgery: cosmetic excision of pigmented nevi, skin tumors, growths, keratotic disorders, etc.; (3) non-invasive treatment of axillary osmidrosis. 5. Research and teaching: The department has published dozens of papers and undertakes the teaching of standardized residency training and internships for medical students.
