There are 2 doctoral supervisors, 2 master's supervisors, 3 staff members with senior professional titles, and 5 with associate senior titles. The department has a highly educated, young, professionally competent, vigorous and dynamic medical and nursing team. At the same time, the department is fully equipped and is currently one of the very few critical care medicine departments in China able to independently perform advanced organ support technologies such as ECMO, IABP, and CPB, as well as core technologies such as fiberoptic bronchoscopy and PICCO, Swan-Ganz, and Vigileo hemodynamic monitoring. It has played an important role in the rescue of patients with difficult acute and critical illnesses and in emergency response to public health emergencies. The department has established an ECMO team, a respiratory therapy team, a nutrition therapy team, and others, enabling medical and nursing personnel to maximize the improvement and application of their professional technical capabilities, while also greatly promoting the overall improvement of the department's professional and technical level and providing patients with more professional medical services. In blood purification, this department is one of the earliest medical institutions in China able to carry it out independently. It can currently perform multiple CPB treatment modalities, including hemofiltration, plasma exchange, hemoadsorption, and others. In recent years, it has taken the lead in Heilongjiang Province in carrying out various blood purification technologies, including bilirubin adsorption, inflammatory factor adsorption, perfusion adsorption, DPMAS (Double Plasma Molecular Adsorption System), and the Molecular Adsorbent Recirculating System (MARS); it is the earliest institution in the province to carry out adsorption technology and the institution with the largest number of applications. Adsorption technology has been widely and skillfully applied to rescue critically ill patients with various forms of organ dysfunction, including patients with severe pneumonia, liver failure, severe acute pancreatitis, septic shock, and others. It also has experience in combined use with ECMO technology, improving the success rate of treatment for critically ill patients.
