Minimally Invasive Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Center

The Plastic and Aesthetic Laser Center brings together numerous renowned plastic and aesthetic surgery experts from across China and Heilongjiang Province, forming one of the larger plastic and aesthetic surgery institutions in Heilongjiang Province. The Center has nearly 2,000 square meters of modern inpatient facilities with first-class conditions and a 400-square-meter outpatient laser aesthetics clinic. It currently has 11 physicians, all of whom hold doctoral or master's degrees. The department has strong scientific research capabilities and outstanding clinical expertise. Its eye plastic surgery, comprehensive rhinoplasty, ear reconstruction, breast surgery, minimally invasive aesthetic procedures, and repair of failed cosmetic surgeries, among others, are all at an advanced domestic level. The department successfully used a new method to complete four sex reassignment surgeries, enabling patients with transsexualism to achieve favorable results that combine form and function. In 2010, the Class III Technology Expert Group of the Ministry of Health unanimously approved the on-site review, making the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University the first medical institution in Heilongjiang Province and the only one in the three northeastern provinces legally authorized to perform sex reassignment surgery. The Plastic and Aesthetic Laser Center has received recognition from its supervisory authorities: the Provincial Health Department approved our Center as the “Heilongjiang Province Minimally Invasive Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Center”; Professor Chen Weihua was elected Chairman of the Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Branch of the Heilongjiang Medical Association in 2010, and in 2015 was elected Vice Chairman of the Eye Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Branch of the Chinese Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery and Chairman of the Medical Aesthetics and Cosmetology Branch of the Heilongjiang Medical Association.
