The Center follows the development philosophy of “expert diagnosis and treatment, specialized nursing, professional services”, is guided by innovation and pursues quality, and actively applies cutting-edge technologies. The medical and nursing team comprises 16 members: 1 chief physician, 2 associate chief physicians, 2 attending physicians, and 2 resident physicians; 1 associate chief nurse, 2 nurse-in-charges, 1 senior nurse, and 5 nurses. The Songbei Endoscopic Minimally Invasive Diagnosis and Treatment Center covers an area of 2,000 square meters and has 7 gastrointestinal endoscopy diagnosis and treatment rooms, 3 respiratory endoscopy diagnosis and treatment rooms, 1 cystoscopy diagnosis and treatment room, 1 MDT diagnosis and treatment room, 1 capsule endoscopy room, and a 14C breath-test room. The Endoscopy Center is equipped with internationally advanced endoscopic equipment, including Olympus 290 gastrointestinal endoscopes, a duodenoscope, Fujifilm 4450 gastrointestinal endoscopes, an Olympus 290 bronchoscope, a medical thoracoscope, an endobronchial ultrasound scope, a rigid bronchoscope, an ND:YAG laser, cryotherapy equipment, an argon plasma coagulator, and an ERBE electrosurgical unit, along with other internationally advanced endoscopic equipment.
The minimally invasive surgical procedures that the Songbei Endoscopic Minimally Invasive Diagnosis and Treatment Center can perform include:
1. Gastrointestinal endoscopy: precision screening for early gastrointestinal cancers; endoscopic ultrasonography; colonoscopic ERAT for the treatment of appendicitis; band ligation and sclerotherapy of esophageal and gastric fundal varices; proficient performance of super-minimally invasive endoscopic procedures for early gastrointestinal tumors, including EMR, ESD, STER and other procedures; dilation and stent placement for gastrointestinal strictures; catheter placement and other treatments for intestinal obstruction.
2. Duodenoscopy: ERCP for the treatment of bile duct stones; stent placement and dilation for benign and malignant biliary strictures; endoscopic treatment of pancreatic duct stones.
3. Bronchoscopy: brushing, biopsy, lavage, drug injection, removal of airway foreign bodies, bronchial thermoplasty, lung volume reduction, sampling of peripheral pulmonary nodules using multimodal image navigation, ultrasound-guided transbronchial biopsy of mediastinal lymph nodes, rigid bronchoscopy, cryobiopsy of the lung, stent placement and removal, comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant airway stenosis, and rapid on-site evaluation (ROSE technology).
4. Medical thoracoscopy: applicable to the staging of lung cancer and malignant pleural mesothelioma, determination of the nature of pleural effusions, and the diagnosis and treatment of empyema, among others.
5. Cystoscopy: diagnosis of bladder diseases; (e.g., unexplained hematuria, stones, tumors, and assessment of the degree of invasion of the bladder by lesions surrounding the bladder) ureteral stent placement and removal, pyelography, removal of foreign bodies via cystoscopy, biopsy, electrocautery, and electrosurgical resection.
