Songbei–Medical Oncology Department
Songbei Department of Medical Oncology is a department that integrates medical care, teaching, and research and combines multiple comprehensive treatment modalities. The department upholds the philosophy of “maximizing treatment efficacy and minimizing adverse reactions” and routinely carries out intravenous chemotherapy, molecular targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and endocrine therapy; it can also independently perform arterial infusion chemotherapy and interventional tumor therapy, and comprehensively employs local treatment modalities such as surgery, radiotherapy, hyperthermia, and sound-and-light technology therapy, organically combining medical and surgical techniques. It has gradually developed an individualized comprehensive treatment model of “chemotherapy-dispelling pathogenic factors, immunotherapy-strengthening the root, and synergistic use of multiple modalities”; while eliminating and controlling tumors, it protects and improves patients’ immune function to the greatest extent. Under the leadership of the discipline leader, keeping closely abreast of the world's cutting-edge fields, it has conducted extensive exploratory and clinical research on the treatment of solid tumors such as colorectal cancer, lung cancer, gastric cancer, liver cancer, breast cancer, kidney cancer, malignant melanoma, ovarian cancer, and malignant mesothelioma, accumulating rich clinical experience. The department actively leverages the advantages of multidisciplinary collaboration in a general hospital to provide individualized, targeted multidisciplinary comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for difficult or complex patients. At the same time, to better serve tumor patients and effectively address their difficulty in obtaining hospital admission, we actively advocate the “day ward” model, shorten the waiting time for inpatient appointment scheduling, simplify the process of seeking medical care, and reduce inpatient diagnosis and treatment costs.
