Radiation Oncology
As a key department of our hospital’s Cancer Treatment Center, the Department of Radiation Oncology has strong professional and technical expertise and advanced treatment equipment, providing patients with comprehensive radiotherapy services.
Our department brings together a group of professional medical staff, physicists, and technicians, forming a multidisciplinary professional team. The team includes 1 chief physician, 1 chief technician, 3 deputy chief physicians, 4 attending physicians, 1 resident physician, and several experienced nurses.
The department is equipped with internationally advanced radiotherapy equipment, including image-guided linear accelerators, cone-beam CT (CBCT), kV/PV-level X-ray devices, respiratory gating systems, treatment planning systems (TPS), and other radiotherapy equipment. These devices not only provide precise radiotherapy techniques, including three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy, intensity-modulated conformal radiotherapy, and image-guided radiotherapy, but also enable quality control and quality assurance, ensuring the safety and effectiveness of treatment. In addition, the department also provides afterloading brachytherapy, combining external-beam irradiation with intracavitary and interstitial irradiation. While achieving precise radiotherapy, this approach reduces damage to surrounding normal tissues, significantly improves treatment outcomes, and enhances patients’ quality of life.
The treatment of tumors has entered the era of precise comprehensive treatment. Our department currently provides various integrated treatment approaches, including neoadjuvant radiotherapy, postoperative adjuvant radiotherapy, sequential chemoradiotherapy, concurrent chemoradiotherapy, targeted therapy combined with radiotherapy, and immunotherapy combined with radiotherapy. These approaches enable patients to receive standardized, scientific, and precise diagnosis and treatment, demonstrating the higher efficacy achieved through the combination of radiotherapy and multidisciplinary treatment.
With its professional team, advanced treatment equipment, and comprehensive radiotherapy technologies, the Department of Radiation Oncology provides patients with high-quality, safe, and excellent radiotherapy services, realizing standardized and detailed management throughout the entire course of tumor treatment.
