Songbei – Emergency Department
The Emergency Department of the Songbei Campus of the Fourth Hospital of Harbin Medical University was established on March 11, 2021, and is located at No. 766 Xiang’an North Street, Songbei New District, Harbin. With the great care and support of leaders at all levels of the hospital, it has gradually become a professional team with rich treatment experience and excellent skills. The department takes “being thoughtful, capable, understanding responsibility, and daring to assume responsibility” as its general guiding principle, adheres to the health and wellness work policy of the new era, remains people’s-health-centered, takes the public welfare of public hospitals as its criterion, and upholds the service philosophy of “one-stop service”. It has gradually formed an emergency medicine model integrating prehospital emergency care, emergency resuscitation, and hospital multidisciplinary joint treatment; gradually built itself into a large comprehensive emergency treatment center integrating medical care, teaching, and scientific research; further improved the “life circle” system for emergency and first aid in the Harbin New Area; raised the level of emergency medical care in the new area; closely cooperated with partner hospitals and departments; worked together for common development; and strived to build a regional composite emergency and first-aid medical center to benefit more people in our city.
The Songbei Campus Emergency Center currently has areas including emergency surgery, emergency internal medicine, an emergency sports trauma surgery outpatient clinic, an emergency ward, an emergency ultrasound room, an emergency rescue and resuscitation room, an emergency operating room, and an observation treatment room. It is equipped with advanced domestic and international rescue and resuscitation equipment, including 3.0T magnetic resonance imaging, 64-slice spiral CT, DSA, defibrillators, an automatic gastric lavage machine, multifunctional monitors, electrocardiographs, invasive ventilators, and high-flow oxygen machines. The center is currently a member institution of the China Trauma Care Alliance. Using the emergency trauma treatment center as a platform and giving full play to the advantages of multidisciplinary cooperation, it will gradually build, based on the emergency “five major centers”, a region-wide emergency and first-aid center, creating a complete, rapid, and efficient one-stop emergency and first-aid platform and thereby minimizing patients’ rescue time.
