The Digestive Endoscopy Center of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine was founded in 2007, and a branch centre was set up at the Hanan Campus in 2021. The endoscopy centres of the two campuses are run under an integrated management model. Together the two campuses have 11 medical and nursing staff, including 4 full-time physicians with intermediate or higher professional titles.

The centre is equipped with internationally advanced systems such as the OLYMPUS CV-290 and HD-500 endoscopy systems and an OLYMPUS high-frequency electrosurgical unit, and offers painless gastroscopy and colonoscopy on a wide scale. Besides routine diagnostic gastrointestinal endoscopy, the centre carries out a number of endoscopic therapeutic procedures, including endoscopic electrocoagulation polypectomy of the gastrointestinal tract, removal of foreign bodies, and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) of early gastrointestinal cancer and submucosal lesions. Endoscopy also supports the clinical and research work on traditional Chinese medicine interventions for precancerous conditions such as polyposis and atrophic gastritis.

Our hospital never closes, and the Digestive Endoscopy Center receives patients all year round, performing endoscopic diagnosis and treatment on public holidays as well, for the convenience of patients.
