For example, it uses characteristic formulas to treat hemorrhagic cerebrovascular diseases; uses intravenous infusions of traditional Chinese medicine extracts to treat ischemic cerebrovascular diseases; and uses distinctive acupuncture and moxibustion methods combined with a series of traditional Chinese medicine decoctions for stroke to treat hemiplegia, aphasia, and bulbar paralysis following stroke, with distinctive features and advantages. The efficacy of the five-in-one method used to treat facial nerve paralysis has been confirmed by clinical practice. The department has developed a series of traditional Chinese medicine preparations, such as Zhongfeng Ting for treating various types of cerebrovascular disease; when combined with acupuncture and moxibustion, tuina, and rehabilitative exercise therapy, it produces better therapeutic effects.
The department's main areas of therapeutic strength include senile dementia, stroke, vertigo, flaccidity syndrome, and facial paralysis. It actively develops specialized disciplines and diseases and promotes the large-scale development of acupuncture and rehabilitation medicine. It specializes in treating neurological disorders such as cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral atrophy, dementia, hypertension, facial paralysis, epilepsy, headache, vertigo, insomnia, autonomic nervous system dysfunction, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, cervical spondylosis, lumbar spine disease, spinal cord lesions, muscle diseases, and multiple sclerosis with acupuncture and moxibustion, traditional Chinese medicine, and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine.
