Geriatric Respiratory Medicine Department

The Geriatric Respiratory Department specializes in prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of respiratory disease, especially common, frequent, complex and critical disorders in older adults. Led by Chief Physician Xue Hua, with more than 30 years of experience, it treats COPD, respiratory failure, pulmonary encephalopathy, bronchiectasis, asthma, lung infections, pleural, interstitial and pulmonary vascular disease. The team has 18 staff: 3 doctoral and 1 master's physicians, 2 chief and 3 associate chief physicians, plus 2 associate chief nurses, 6 supervising nurses, 5 nurses and 2 nursing assistants. Expert clinics are offered Tuesday for geriatrics and all day Thursday for respiratory disease.
