The Third Department of Urology of Heilongjiang Provincial Hospital is a clinical department for urology and andrology with strong technical capabilities,a complete complement of personnel and instruments,and well-developed hardware facilities.The department currently has 6 physicians,including 1 chief physician,2 deputy chief physicians,1 attending physician,and 2 resident physicians.Of these,6 hold master’s degrees.Medical services that can be provided: treatment of urinary tract stones,prostate diseases,urinary tract tumors,urinary tract tuberculosis,urethral stricture,and systematic diagnosis and treatment of male erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation and so on.

Procedures performed: transurethral laser enucleation of the prostate,holmium laser lithotripsy using a flexible ureteroscope,percutaneous nephrolithotomy with lithotripsy and stone clearance,ureteroscopic lithotripsy and stone clearance,urological laparoscopic surgery,robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery,balloon dilation for ureteral stricture,tension-free midurethral sling surgery (TVT-O) for female stress urinary incontinence as well as various open surgeries of the urinary system,related surgeries of the male penis,testicular/epididymal sperm aspiration,microscopic testicular sperm extraction by testicular incision and other operations.The department also has distinctive expertise in the treatment of various male genitourinary diseases,male sexual dysfunction,sexually transmitted diseases and in the diagnosis and treatment of interstitial cystitis.Among these,transurethral laser enucleation of the prostate,transurethral laser resection of bladder tumors,holmium laser treatment of complex renal stones using a flexible ureteroscope have reached an advanced level nationally,and a leading level within the province. Combined multi-endoscopic treatment of staghorn calculi has also reached an advanced level nationally and a leading level within the province.
