Laboratory Medicine

The Clinical Laboratory of the Nangang Campus is a modern medical laboratory integrating medical care, education, and research. It comprises 5 specialty groups with a total of 12 professional technical staff, including 3 with senior professional titles, 7 with intermediate professional titles, and 2 with master's degrees; 100% of the staff hold a bachelor's degree or above. In 2022, the laboratory underwent an on-site inspection by provincial and municipal experts, successfully passed the accreditation review for Grade III Class A hospital laboratories, and commenced operations.

The laboratory has achieved near-full automation in clinical sample testing and currently operates 16 instruments of various kinds. Major large-scale equipment includes the Toshiba fully automated biochemistry analyzer, Autobio fully automated chemiluminescence analyzer, Abbott fully automated chemiluminescence analyzer, Sekisui fully automated coagulation analyzer, Sysmex fully automated hematology analyzer, Thermo Fisher bacterial identification and antimicrobial susceptibility analyzer, and more, providing clinicians with timely, accurate, and reliable data. For many consecutive years, the department has participated in the external quality assessment program of the Ministry of Health, consistently achieving excellent results. While fulfilling its clinical testing duties, the department also attaches great importance to research and has completed multiple research projects in collaboration with clinical departments. In recent years, it has continuously strengthened exchanges with clinical departments and actively supported the launch of new test items. We will uphold the hospital's guiding principle of "serving patients' health in everything we do," commit to continuous quality improvement, and serve clinical care even better.
