The Stomatology (Dental) Department of the Nangang Campus of Heilongjiang Provincial Hospital is one of the larger stomatology departments among general hospitals in Heilongjiang Province and has strong comprehensive strength. Its spacious and bright treatment rooms lay a solid foundation for high-quality dental care.

Over the decades, generations of medical staff have built the department into a clinical department integrating medical care, teaching, and research. It provides multi-specialty dental services covering oral internal medicine, prosthodontics, and orthodontics, and offers featured services such as oral health maintenance, cosmetic dentistry, systematic periodontal treatment, dental implants, and precision restoration, along with high-end dental care. The department is bold in pioneering innovation, with complete specialties, a well-structured team, and superb skills; its full range of featured specialties provides reliable assurance for relieving the suffering of dental patients. Staff composition: there are currently 11 physicians, including 3 chief physicians, 2 associate chief physicians, and 6 attending physicians; 1 technician; 7 hold master's degrees and 5 hold bachelor's degrees. There are also 3 dental nursing staff.

Medical features: the prosthodontics specialty has carried out fixed restoration and removable denture restoration. Fixed restoration includes metal crown and bridge, porcelain-fused-to-metal crown and bridge, and all-ceramic crown restoration; removable denture restoration includes plastic-based dentures, cast-framework dentures, invisible dentures, complex partial dentures, and full complete dentures; attachment prostheses and telescopic crown restorations have also been carried out. Physicians of oral internal medicine can independently and accurately diagnose and treat common, frequent, and difficult oral diseases in a timely manner; they perform simple and complex fillings of all kinds of cavities, root canal treatment, treatment of residual roots and residual crowns, basic periodontal treatment, periodontal surgery, and prosthetic and maintenance treatment of periodontal disease, especially various periodontal surgeries such as crown lengthening, open flap debridement, bone grafting, and guided tissue regeneration, as well as diagnosis and treatment of oral mucosal diseases. These technical levels are at the leading position in the province. The orthodontics specialty currently carries out preventive and interceptive orthodontics for malocclusions in the deciduous dentition and tooth-replacement periods (ages 3-10), and has adopted featured techniques such as invisible aligner orthodontics and lingual orthodontics. For various dentofacial deformities and periodontal disease in adults over 18, and for snoring disorders (snoring) in children and adults, corrective appliances can be designed and fabricated for correction.

Advanced equipment: modern comprehensive treatment units imported from the United States and South Korea, oral cone-beam CT, and digital dental radiography machines; world-class light-curing units, ultrasonic scalers, and air-polishing units; complete disinfection equipment; thermal gutta-percha obturation machines and root canal preparation machines.
