Hepatology Department III (Severe Liver Disease Department)

Liver Disease Department III (Severe Liver Disease Department) is a core inpatient unit of Hangzhou Xixi Hospital and a member of Hangzhou’s Medical Peak Discipline (Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine for Liver Diseases). The department integrates medical care, teaching, and research, with core specialties in blood purification (artificial liver) treatment for severe liver diseases, integrated Chinese and Western medicine treatment of liver diseases, and the early diagnosis and comprehensive treatment of liver cancer. The discipline’s development has reached a nationally leading level. The department’s medical team has extensive clinical experience, excellent technical capabilities, strong cohesion, and the courage to pioneer and innovate. The department has a total of 21 medical and nursing staff members, including 8 physicians and 13 nurses; 7 hold senior professional titles, and 9 hold master’s degrees. The department undertakes teaching assignments for Zhejiang Chinese Medical University and accepts physicians from various regions for further study, as well as medical and nursing personnel for artificial liver training. At the same time, expert outpatient clinics have been established in multiple areas, including Yuhuan, Putuo, Jiande, and Linping, to make it more convenient for patients to seek medical care.
