Our hospital’s Department of Rehabilitation follows a development path integrating traditional Chinese and Western medicine. Based on fully inheriting and carrying forward the traditional medicine of China, while widely applying traditional rehabilitation therapies such as acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, herbal fumigation and washing, acupoint application, acupoint injection, acupoint embedding, and manual therapy, it also actively carries out modern rehabilitation medicine technologies, including comprehensive training for hemiplegic limbs, comprehensive training for paraplegic limbs, exercise therapy, occupational therapy, joint mobilization, cognitive-perceptual dysfunction training, speech training, swallowing dysfunction training, balance assessment and training, activities of daily living assessment, and various physical agent therapy techniques. A comprehensive treatment approach has thus been established that places equal emphasis on modern and traditional rehabilitation treatment. By integrating Chinese and Western approaches and complementing their respective strengths, it achieves better therapeutic outcomes. The department is equipped with leading large-scale domestic medical rehabilitation devices, including a U.S.-made whole-body functional rehabilitation trainer (four-limb linkage), an intelligent feedback training system for the lower limbs, a bedside intelligent feedback training system, a scenario simulation assessment and training system, a speech and cognitive assessment and training system, an upper-limb rehabilitation function assessment and control training system, a swallowing therapy device (Netherlands), a brainwave biomimetic electrical stimulation device, an ultrasound drug-delivery therapy device, a high-power short-wave therapy device, an interferential wave therapy device, an electric multi-segment treatment bed, and a computerized cervical and lumbar traction bed. The eight-channel remote telemetry ECG monitor introduced in 2015 ensures the safety of rehabilitation patients during training. From 2018 to 2024, the department introduced digital OT, a cardiopulmonary rehabilitation assessment and training system, a surface electromyography assessment and training system, a pulmonary function assessment and training system, an electronic laryngoscope, musculoskeletal ultrasound, transcranial magnetic stimulation, and VR equipment, among other devices.
