The neonatology unit is equipped with advanced devices such as air-oxygen blenders, non-invasive multifunctional monitors, double-sided blue-light phototherapy units, incubators, radiant warmers, invasive ventilators, high-frequency ventilators and NCPAP ventilators, and has accumulated experience in diseases such as premature infants, neonatal asphyxia, neonatal wet lung, neonatal pneumonia, meconium aspiration syndrome, neonatal jaundice and pulmonary air leak. Among these, it has developed a TCM jaundice-removing lotion for TCM fumigation and washing of neonatal jaundice, a red-bottom ointment for neonatal diaper rash, and an eczema ointment for topical TCM application on eczema, achieving fairly good clinical treatment results. Children's respiratory and chronic cough direction: Equipped with advanced children's pulmonary function instruments and FeNO testing instruments, it provides a basis for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of chronic cough and wheezing, such as cough-variant asthma, upper airway cough syndrome, bronchial asthma and post-infectious cough; on the premise of standardizing children's asthma, it promotes self-monitoring and self-assessment of children's asthma; in clinical treatment, the department has developed a series of special preparations (Qingfei Yin, Kechuan Oral Liquid, Runfei Mixture, etc.) as well as Chinese herbal granule formulas such as Zhisou San, Liuwei San and Qufeng Zhike Formula, combined with various comprehensive treatment methods such as inhalation therapy, treating winter diseases in summer, herbal pastes, acupoint application and laser acupuncture, greatly improving the clinical efficacy for children's asthma and chronic cough, raising the hospital's diagnosis and treatment level for children's asthma and chronic cough, and winning praise from sick children and their parents. Clinically, through changes in pulmonary function and FeNO data and bronchoscopic pathogen testing, combined with the release of inflammatory factors, and using the department's self-developed Chinese herbal preparations (Kechuan Oral Liquid, Qingfei Yin) and new Chinese herbal dosage forms (granules), it observes the improvement of airway obstruction by Chinese herbal medicine and its regulatory effect on the release of inflammatory mediators, clarifies the preventive and therapeutic effects of Chinese medicine on airway inflammation at the cellular and molecular level, and provides clinical experimental evidence for the TCM treatment of respiratory diseases. Desensitization therapy is actively carried out. Applying the theory of “treating disease before it arises” (preventive treatment of disease), combined with the theory of the “Zhejiang School of Pediatrics” and the experience of the provincial renowned TCM master Professor Shao Zhengyang, during the disease control period it prepares “treating winter diseases in summer” and “treating winter diseases in winter” acupoint applications and winter herbal pastes, and has developed an aromatic orifice-opening essential oil for external use, achieving the goal of “preventing disease before it occurs and preventing transformation after disease occurs,” providing new ideas for clinical TCM treatment. Children's growth and development direction: The hospital has established a children's bone age assessment center, equipped with AI intelligent bone age diagnosis software, and has standardized the reading of bone age and height prediction, providing trend analysis of children's growth and development. On the basis of standardized Western medical treatment, it focuses on clinical research on Chinese herbal medicine in children's growth and development delay (non-growth-hormone-dependent type); according to the theory of syndrome differentiation and treatment, it applies series of set prescriptions for children's short stature and precocious puberty: short stature is treated by strengthening the spleen and tonifying the kidney and by calming the heart and tranquilizing the mind; precocious puberty is treated by nourishing yin and reducing fire and by clearing the liver and draining fire; combined with external therapies such as laser acupuncture, Chinese herbal growth-promoting ointment combined with pediatric tuina massage, acupoint application therapy and auricular acupuncture, it has achieved significant clinical efficacy.
