General Practice Department (General Ward)

The Comprehensive Wards currently comprise 4 wards with 102 beds. As Hangzhou's cadre medical care base, the Comprehensive Wards provide senior provincial and municipal leaders as well as retired and retired-from-service cadres with high-quality, comprehensive disease treatment, prevention, healthcare, and lifestyle intervention guidance. As the chair institution of the Geriatrics Branch of the Hangzhou Medical Association and a training base for general practitioners in Zhejiang Province, the Department of Geriatrics is at the forefront among comparable departments in Hangzhou municipal hospitals and has considerable academic influence. The department currently has 17 physicians, including 2 chief physicians, 7 deputy chief physicians, 5 attending physicians, 3 doctors with doctoral degrees, and 7 doctors with master's degrees; and 30 nurses, including 6 deputy chief nurses and 21 nurses-in-charge. With the advent of an aging society, geriatrics, correspondingly, has developed rapidly.
