Acupuncture and Tuina Department
The Acupuncture Specialty was established in the 1950s, tuina treatment was introduced in the 1970s, and an independent department was established in 1984. It currently has 8 staff members, including 1 chief physician, 3 associate chief physicians, 4 attending physicians, 1 doctoral degree holder, and 4 master's degree holders. In recent years, while inheriting the traditions, the department has sought development, carried forward TCM acupuncture, and worked to better serve the health of the people. It has extensively developed acupuncture, tuina, and small-needle-knife release therapy for treating soft-tissue injuries and pain, facial paralysis, hyperostosis, simple obesity, melasma, insomnia, and other conditions. It has led a series of grant-funded projects, including provincial- and ministerial-level research projects, and has cumulatively published dozens of SCI professional papers and other papers in medical journals at various levels. Outpatient hours are Monday to Saturday.
