Department Introduction: The Department of Pathology of our hospital was established in 1958. It currently has more than 20 professional and technical personnel; physicians with master’s degrees account for more than 60%, and physicians with senior professional titles account for one-third of the total number of physicians.

The Department of Pathology has various laboratories, including a technical laboratory, cytology laboratory, frozen section room, immunopathology laboratory, and molecular pathology laboratory. The department is equipped with advanced instruments, such as a fully automatic tissue dehydrator, cryostat, ultramicrotome, PCR instrument, in situ hybridization instrument, fully automatic immunohistochemistry instrument, and fluorescence microscope.

Introduction to the examinations and specialties offered: The examinations provided include routine histopathological diagnosis, cytopathological diagnosis, intraoperative rapid frozen-section diagnosis, liquid-based cytology (TCT) examination, in situ hybridization testing, fluorescence in situ hybridization, histochemical staining testing, consultation on difficult cases from outside hospitals, etc.

The Immunopathology Laboratory was established in 1987 and is equipped with more than 100 types of antibodies for detecting oncogenes, hormone receptors, drug-resistance genes, mismatch repair genes, and others; routine Her-2/neu gene FISH testing, HPV and Epstein–Barr virus in situ hybridization testing, and others are carried out。。
