Department of Psychology

In 2003, the Department of Psychology of Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center opened a psychological outpatient clinic. It is a specialized department integrating clinical care, teaching, and research. It has long provided clinical services for psychological disorders and mental health problems in children and adolescents, undertaken teaching of relevant content for the School of Pediatrics and the Department of Psychology of Guangzhou Medical University, provided clinical instruction for clerkship students and interns, and led and participated in numerous research projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Health, and the Health Bureau. It has published many professional papers and popular science articles.

The Department of Psychology has a highly qualified, high-caliber medical team and currently has 6 physicians, including 2 chief physicians, 2 deputy chief physicians, and 3 attending physicians.

The Department of Psychology is equipped with the most comprehensive psychological testing tools and standardized assessment procedures, and can perform intelligence assessments, personality tests, mental health assessments, and other assessments.

The department has long organized popular science lectures and participated in various public welfare activities, making a significant contribution to the promotion and popularization of child psychology.
