Integrated Maternal and Child Health Center
Mother-Child Integrated Healthcare Center “Mother and Infant Integrated Healthcare Service Demonstration Center” Project—As an innovative service demonstration project implementing the reform and high-quality development of Guangzhou’s public hospitals, it advocates the concept of “Love your children, and love yourself,” focusing on children’s health while enhancing women’s awareness of proactive health care. The Mother-Child Integrated Healthcare Center is a medical center that integrates the Department of Women’s Health, Department of Children’s Health, Vaccination Clinic for Special-Needs Populations, Adult Vaccination Clinic, and Women’s Health Management Center, scientifically combining “passive rehabilitation” with “proactive health.” It provides medical services for women and children in the same place and at the same time, while embodying the integration of the proactive health concepts of the new era (initiative, prevention, precision, personalization, joint development and shared benefits, and self-discipline) with traditional passive rehabilitation treatment. Under the leadership of the Party Committee of the Guangzhou Medical University Affiliated Women and Children’s Medical Center, and relying on the National Regional Medical Center for Children, it places maternal and infant health at its core, takes whole-life-cycle health management as its orientation, and uses excellent service as its means to establish a “one-click, two-way” referral platform linked with tertiary hospitals for tiered diagnosis and treatment; explore a “trinity” maternal and child healthcare talent development and health education mechanism involving doctors, nurses, and patients, thereby helping cultivate a compassionate maternal and child healthcare team; and promote the deep integration of preventive medicine, healthcare medicine, and clinical medicine to create a same-time, same-place maternal and child health management system. It is a national hub for one-stop healthcare services for women and children, and since opening, it has provided cumulative services to 220,000 mother-and-child person-visits.
