Gynecology is an important part of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Guangzhou United Family Hospital. Its specialties include minimally invasive gynecology, gynecologic oncology, reproductive medicine and assisted conception, endocrinology, and pelvic floor rehabilitation.

Minimally Invasive Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology: We specialize in the diagnosis, minimally invasive surgery, chemotherapy, and targeted therapy of benign and malignant gynecologic tumors. With the assistance of high-definition laparoscopic equipment, we perform procedures including myomectomy for uterine fibroids and adenomyomas, ovarian tumor excision, total hysterectomy, staging and radical surgery for various gynecologic malignancies, and more. We also treat various intrauterine lesions under hysteroscopy (see the Gynecology Services section for details). Gynecologic surgery follows the principles of minimally invasive and noninvasive surgery. Our surgical techniques are highly proficient, and the rate of minimally invasive surgical treatment is as high as 90%. Our procedures feature advanced surgical techniques, minimal invasiveness, limited blood loss, minimal tissue damage, and rapid recovery.

Reproductive Endocrinology Treatment: Reproductive endocrinology focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of specific diseases through multidisciplinary collaboration, comprehensive clinical assessment, and diverse approaches to lifestyle care. Beginning with the endocrine system that underpins women’s physiological functions, we provide systematic diagnosis, treatment, and health care for gynecologic endocrine conditions in adolescent girls, women of reproductive age, and perimenopausal women. Services include adolescent health care; gynecologic inflammation (abnormal discharge); menstrual disorders, including dysmenorrhea, abnormal nonmenstrual bleeding, endometrial hyperplasia, premature ovarian failure, amenorrhea, polycystic ovary syndrome, and hyperprolactinemia; perimenopausal health care; infertility; and related conditions. Through professional assessments such as sex hormone evaluation, ovulation monitoring, hysteroscopy, bone mineral density testing, individualized nutritional assessment, and psychological counseling, we provide specialized endocrine treatment and standardized long-term follow-up to safeguard women’s health.

Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation: Pelvic floor rehabilitation provides comprehensive health consultation and lifestyle guidance addressing factors and environments in daily life and work that may harm the pelvic floor. We conduct functional assessments and pelvic floor/reproductive tract reconstructive repair for women’s urinary problems, bowel problems, organ prolapse, sexual dysfunction, chronic pain, and other conditions. We actively restore pelvic floor nerve and muscle function to improve the quality of sexual life. We implement effective measures to reduce postpartum and postmenopausal urinary incontinence and protect women’s reproductive and psychological health.
