Department Overview: The Department of Bone Tumors of Guangdong Second Provincial General Hospital has a highly skilled medical team with rich experience in the treatment of bone and soft tissue tumors, bone metastases and other diseases, and possesses the capacity to diagnose and treat clinically critical and difficult cases. The academic leader of the Department of Bone Tumors, Professor Shen Jingnan, holds a doctorate, is a chief physician, a second-tier professor and a doctoral supervisor. He is among the first batch of Famous Doctors of Sun Yat-sen University, a National Famous Doctor, a professor in the TOP10 of the bone tumor specialty on the China Top 100 Famous Doctors list, chairman of the Sarcoma Professional Committee of the China Anti-Cancer Association, and a member of the International Society of Limb Salvage (ISOLS). The head of the department, Yi Chunzhi, holds a doctorate and is an associate chief physician. He has been engaged in bone and soft tissue tumors for many years and has studied successively at the Department of Bone Tumors of Peking University People's Hospital, the Department of Spinal Bone Tumors of Shanghai Changzheng Hospital, and RIZZOLI in Italy (the European Bone Tumor Center), and was the first in China to carry out minimally invasive tripod surgery for pelvic metastases.
