Telephone: 020-89168095 Address: Building 3, 18th floor Department Introduction The Organ Transplantation Department was established in 1999 and comprises three sections: the transplant ward, the hemodialysis ward, and the laboratory. The department has a rational staffing structure, with 4 personnel holding senior professional titles, 4 doctoral students, and 4 master's students. Department Director Dr. Liu Dong is highly proficient in organ transplantation surgery, particularly in kidney transplantation procedures and the management of complications, and has also conducted specialized research on cytomegalovirus infection and drug-resistance mechanisms after kidney transplantation. Over the years, Dr. Liu Dong has participated in more than 2,000 kidney and liver transplantation procedures in total; the 2010 National Organ Transplantation Registration System showed that the comprehensive score for the kidney transplantation data of our hospital's Organ Transplantation Department ranked among the top ten nationwide. Organ Transplant Examination Meeting The transplant ward has 35 operational beds, including a preoperative ward, a postoperative isolation ward, and a laminar-flow ward for liver transplantation. The ward is equipped with the latest medical equipment, including ventilators, defibrillators, ECG monitors, B-ultrasound machines, infusion pumps, a central oxygen supply system, a central suction system, and bedside hemofiltration machines. The hemodialysis ward has 32 operational beds and provides nearly 20,000 dialysis treatments annually. It routinely performs hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, hemodiafiltration, plasma separation, hemoperfusion, continuous blood purification, and other techniques. Warm and Comfortable Inpatient Ward of the Transplantation Department The laboratory is equipped with an advanced Abbott immunoluminescence analyzer and a Luminex flow cytometric bead array analyzer. It can comprehensively perform drug concentration monitoring for cyclosporine, Prograf, Rapamune, and other drugs, as well as immunological tests related to human leukocyte antigens (HLA), panel reactive antibodies (PRA), and other aspects of organ transplantation. At present, the department can provide diagnostic and treatment services approved by the National Health Commission and the Provincial Health Commission: kidney transplantation (hemodialysis, allogeneic deceased-donor kidney transplantation, living-donor kidney transplantation, and liver transplantation). Since the department was established in 1999, it has performed more than 1,200 kidney transplantation procedures, with one-year patient/kidney survival rates reaching 98.21%/96.43%. The department is currently performing kidney transplantation procedures. The service tenet of the department is “Patients First”. Medical and nursing staff provide patients with warm and considerate services and convenience for patients receiving hemodialysis, kidney transplantation, liver transplantation, and long-term follow-up after transplantation in the department. Helping patients regain their health, improving patient/kidney survival rates, and enhancing patients’ quality of life are the goals we have always pursued.
