Telephone: 020-89168137 Address: Building 2, 1st Floor Department Introduction Guangdong Second People's Hospital Imaging Center (Imaging Department, Radiology Department) The Imaging Department is a department integrating medical care, scientific research, and teaching. It is a National Clinical Key Specialty Construction Project and a national-level standardized residency training base, and is also the Guangzhou Key Laboratory of Molecular Functional Imaging and Artificial Intelligence for Major Brain Diseases. It currently has four high-end spiral CT scanners, three 3.0 T magnetic resonance scanners, and one 1.5 T magnetic resonance scanner. The department is the Philips CT and MRI training center for South China, completing an average of more than 30,000 CT examinations and 12,000 MRI examinations annually. After years of development, the Imaging Department of the Second Provincial Hospital has formed a professional team with extensive clinical experience. The department currently has 47 staff members, including 21 doctors, 17 technologists, 4 nurses, and 4 clerical staff. Fourteen have senior professional titles, and 17 have intermediate professional titles. There are 15 PhD holders and 18 master's degree holders. The Imaging Department currently has 2 doctoral supervisors and 4 master's supervisors. The Imaging Department has completed or is conducting more than 10 National Natural Science Foundation projects and more than 30 provincial- and department- or bureau-level projects. It received one second prize and one third prize of the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award in 2016 and 2018, respectively. More than 100 SCI articles have been published, with some research articles appearing in the top radiology journals Radiology and neuroimage. In November 2018, it won the championship of the 15th national neuroimaging skills competition, the highest-level competition of its kind, organized by the Chinese Society of Radiology. It achieves fully digital optical-fiber transmission throughout the process from the source of signal acquisition to image reconstruction, ensuring that image signals remain authentic and do not attenuate during transmission, thereby providing more data, faster and more accurate data, and more reliable functional imaging analysis. Its unique fully digital imaging chain uses digital coils to digitize the magnetic resonance signal at its source and completes full-process digital transmission through the digital coil interface, defining the fully digital standard for magnetic resonance. The Philips fully digital magnetic resonance Ingenia 3.0T has the outstanding advantages of faster scanning and higher resolution. It maximizes the possibility of achieving early diagnosis and early treatment. The examination fields of this magnetic resonance system include brain functional imaging, spectroscopic imaging, diffusion imaging, vascular imaging, musculoskeletal imaging, and abdominal imaging. The software and hardware configuration for neurological examinations of the Philips fully digital magnetic resonance Ingenia 3.0T purchased by our hospital has reached the current top level in Guangdong Province. In addition to all the sequences commonly used clinically, it is also equipped with a 32-channel dedicated neural coil. New sequences include APT, 3DASL, Black Blood Imaging, Multibend-EPI and 256-direction Multibend-DTI, 4D-TRANCE, high-definition small-FOV diffusion, 3D NERVEVIEW, and many other advanced sequences. The Imaging Department has the advanced Philips Ingenia 3.0T magnetic resonance 2, 256-slice spiral Starlight iCT: It integrates the most advanced technologies currently available in the industry and uses air-bearing technology to perform 1024×1024 high-resolution imaging. The thinnest scanning slice thickness is 0.6mm. It can perform whole-body examinations and clearly display subtle structures throughout the body, especially the middle ear and mastoid and small pulmonary nodules. It can perform cardiac scanning in patients with a high heart rate or arrhythmia, clearly displaying all coronary arteries and cardiac chambers in patients with congenital heart disease or coronary heart disease. The large vessels of the whole body can be imaged in a single scan. In addition, its low-radiation and iDose low-dose imaging can reduce the radiation dose received by the examinee to the greatest extent. 3, PHILIPS Achieva Nova Dual 1.5T magnetic resonance imaging system: The first PHILIPS dual-gradient 1.5T magnetic resonance system in South China, it is suitable for examinations of all parts of the body and has advantages unmatched by low-field magnetic resonance, including internationally cutting-edge brain functional imaging technology (BOLD), whole-body diffusion imaging (DWI), nerve fiber tract imaging (DTI), susceptibility-weighted imaging sequences (SWI), noninvasive biliary hydrography (MRCP) and ureteral hydrography (MRU), and spectroscopic imaging (MRS).
