The "Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology" clinic of Guangdong Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital is a specialty clinic of our hospital, serving females from infancy to adolescence. Its scope of diagnosis and treatment includes: various vulvovaginal inflammations, labial adhesions, vaginal foreign bodies, adolescent dysmenorrhea, endometriosis, adolescent polycystic ovary syndrome, abnormal uterine bleeding, various menstrual disorders, adolescent obesity, pubertal developmental abnormalities, various disorders of sex development, various genital tract malformations, ovarian and uterine tumors in children, adult fertility preservation, adolescent sexual behavior and pregnancy, etc. This specialty clinic is composed of a team of physicians with rich clinical experience, including 3 chief physicians and 2 attending physicians; 1 doctoral degree holder and 4 master's degree holders; 1 doctoral degree supervisor and 1 master's degree supervisor. It has obtained 1 national invention patent and 1 software copyright. It has published more than 60 articles in domestic and foreign journals and 3 monographs. At present the specialty is developing substantially: patients with various inflammations account for 63.5%, such as vulvitis and labial adhesions; patients with menstrual disorders account for 27.8%: including dysmenorrhea, polycystic ovary syndrome, abnormal uterine bleeding, etc.; patients with various pubertal disorders of sex development and genital tract malformations account for 7%: including Turner syndrome, unicornuate uterus, MRKH syndrome, 46XX gonadal dysgenesis, 46XY gonadal dysgenesis, androgen insensitivity syndrome, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, oblique vaginal septum syndrome, etc.; patients with ovarian tumors account for 2%, such as torsion of ovarian cyst, etc.
