The Department of Women’s Health of Guangdong Women and Children’s Hospital is a high-level provincial clinical key specialty in Guangdong Province and a national specialty with distinctive menopause healthcare services. It not only provides individuals with comprehensive women’s healthcare services covering the entire life cycle, integrating health education, consultation, screening, monitoring, intervention guidance, and long-term follow-up management, but also undertakes technical guidance, training, and management for women’s population healthcare throughout the province, and assists the government in implementing major public health service projects related to women’s healthcare. It is a comprehensive clinical healthcare key specialty integrating clinical care, scientific research, teaching, and public health management. Public health services: undertaking Guangdong Province’s rural women’s cervical cancer and breast cancer prevention and control projects; the development and capacity enhancement of specialized menopause healthcare services throughout the province; and technical training and guidance for women’s healthcare-related services, among others. Scientific research and teaching: in recent years, the department has led and participated in more than 10 national and provincial projects, published hundreds of papers, led 4–5 continuing education programs each year, trained more than 40 undergraduate and graduate students each year, and supervised more than 20 visiting trainees.
