Medical Examination Department Outpatient Clinic（越秀院区）

The Health Examination Department was established in 2002. It is a first-level department of the hospital with an independent service area. It is equipped with central air conditioning and negative-ion air disinfection. The environment is elegant and warm; the waiting hall is spacious and bright; the examination rooms are clean and comfortable; and the health examination system is convenient and efficient. It is equipped with advanced health examination equipment, including color Doppler abdominal ultrasound, transvaginal color ultrasound, dedicated breast color ultrasound, the world’s most advanced dedicated breast MRI currently available (only three units in the country, of which only one in South China is located in our hospital), an MRI scanner, a 64-slice spiral CT scanner, a dual-energy X-ray bone densitometer, high-frequency X-ray mammography, an X-ray machine, a multi-lead electrocardiograph, an electroencephalograph, a nasal endoscope, hearing screening equipment, a fully automated biochemical analyzer, a gait analyzer, and a large number of other imported devices. Our professional health examination team is strong. The chief examining physicians consist of a group of senior experts with outstanding medical skills and high ethical standards, as well as a group of young and middle-aged clinicians with senior or intermediate professional titles, solid professional knowledge, and extensive clinical experience. At present, we provide health examination services in internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, andrology, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, breast examinations (ultrasound, mammography, and breast MR), electrocardiography, ultrasound diagnosis, radiology (X-ray, CT, and MRI), traditional Chinese medicine constitution identification, and other areas. In terms of women’s health examinations, as of October 2013, our hospital had received nearly 300,000 female health examination clients and detected 105 cases of various malignant tumors and 5,679 cases of cervical precancerous lesions, accumulating extensive experience in women’s health examinations. In particular, in the screening of the two major cancers affecting women, our hospital was the earliest in the province to conduct cervical cancer screening using HPV genotyping testing. The breast cancer screening process has become a benchmark for breast cancer screening throughout the province and even across the country.
