The Department of Otorhinolaryngology of Guang'anmen Hospital, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, has adhered to the philosophy of “patient-centered care” since its establishment in 1983, and undertakes demanding research, teaching, and clinical duties. It currently has 10 physicians, including 2 chief physicians (1 doctoral supervisor), 1 associate chief physician, and 7 physicians with intermediate professional titles. It is a specialized clinical department for diagnosis and treatment that integrates Chinese and Western medicine and features the distinctive strengths of traditional Chinese medicine.
