The Department of Laboratory Medicine is the main clinical laboratory of Guang'anmen Hospital, a molecular biology laboratory inspected, accepted, and registered by the Clinical Laboratory Center of the National Health Commission, and the clinical laboratory of the National Medical Products Administration Clinical Pharmacology Research Base.
This laboratory technology platform includes a clinical basic laboratory, biochemistry laboratory, immunology laboratory, microbiology laboratory, hematology laboratory, cell and molecular biology laboratory, and blood bank (Department of Transfusion). It performs a total of more than 400 testing items and parameters, covering testing techniques and content in hematology, biochemistry, immunology, cell morphology, microbiology, and cell and molecular biology.
The department has a comprehensive range of advanced laboratory instruments and equipment with a high degree of automation. These include a fully automated blood cell analysis line, fully automated urinalysis line, fully automated blood group analysis and identification instrument, fully automated stool analyzer, fully automated biochemical analyzer, blood gas analyzer, fully automated chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer, fully automated enzyme immunoassay analyzer, fully automated indirect immunofluorescence operating system, fully automated blood culture instrument, fully automated bacterial identification and antimicrobial susceptibility analyzer, mass spectrometer, pulsed-field gel electrophoresis instrument, fully automated coagulation analyzer, quantitative PCR instrument, automated nucleic acid extractor, flow cytometry analyzer, platelet aggregometer, and more.
