In 1998, it was designated a key discipline of Chongqing Municipality (a municipality directly under the central government).
Our Department of Gynecology has a well-developed specialty system and strong overall capabilities. It currently comprises six subspecialties: gynecologic oncology, general gynecology, female pelvic floor dysfunction, gynecologic endocrinology and menopause healthcare, intrauterine diseases, and cervical and lower reproductive tract diseases, providing comprehensive health management and disease diagnosis and treatment throughout the female life cycle. To provide more convenient and efficient medical services, our department implements an integrated and coordinated development model of “one department across three campuses.” Gynecologic diagnosis and treatment units are established at the Yuanjiagang, Jinshan, and Jingwei campuses, achieving homogenization of medical resources, technical standards, and service quality, and ensuring that patients in different areas can receive high-level, specialized gynecologic diagnosis and treatment.
