Neurophysiology Room

The Neuroelectrophysiology Unit of the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University is affiliated with the Department of Neurology. It currently has 9 staff members, including 2 with senior professional titles and 1 with a doctoral degree, and is mainly responsible for examinations for diseases of the nervous system.

At the Jixilu Campus and Gaoxin Campus, the department has several pieces of equipment in total, including routine electroencephalography machines, ambulatory electroencephalography machines, video electroencephalography machines, electromyography machines, brain evoked potential instruments, and polysomnography monitors. It conducts routine electroencephalography, ambulatory electroencephalography, video EEG monitoring (Gaoxin Campus), polysomnography (Gaoxin Campus), electromyography, and brain evoked potential examinations year-round. These examinations are of great value for diagnosing epilepsy and paroxysmal diseases of the nervous system, central nervous system infections, neuromuscular diseases, sleep disorders, and other diseases; they facilitate patients’ diagnosis and treatment and also provide clinical practice with numerous, more precise diagnostic findings and prognostic assessments.
