Pharmacy

The Pharmacy Department is a comprehensive department integrating medical care, teaching, scientific research, and management, with a well-developed organizational structure, a sound talent pipeline, strong technical capabilities, and scientific quality management. It is an Anhui Province "13th Five-Year Plan" Clinical Key Specialty, a graduate training institution, the only standardized clinical pharmacist training institution for professional master's degrees in pharmacy in the province, a Level 3 laboratory of Chinese medicine chemistry under the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Chinese Medical Association Clinical Pharmacist Faculty and Trainee Training Center, the Chinese Hospital Association Clinical Pharmacist Training Base, and one of the first national pilot units for pharmacists stationed in clinical departments.

The department includes quality management, teaching and scientific research, procurement and supply, medication dispensing, preparations, and clinical pharmacy divisions. It currently has more than 200 pharmacy professionals, including 10 senior professionals and 30 associate senior professionals; 23 with doctoral degrees and 69 with master's degrees; 1 doctoral supervisor and 20 master's supervisors.

Advantageous Technologies

Medication dispensing and clinical pharmacy services are routinely provided. Advantageous technologies include intelligent lean management of medication dispensing, multimodal pharmacy outpatient clinics (specialty, joint, and internet-based), individualized medication use in clinical practice and research based on therapeutic drug monitoring, on-prescription processing of characteristic traditional Chinese medicine preparations and preparation transformation, and closely integrated professional and degree education for clinical pharmacists.

Departmental Honors

Anhui Province Demonstration Team for the Research and Development of Science Popularization Products and Science Popularization Creation, and the China Association of Medical Education Demonstration Base for Rational Clinical Medication. The department has received 1 second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award, 1 grand prize and 1 second prize of the Anhui Provincial Teaching Achievement Award, and 1 first prize and 1 third prize of the Anhui Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. It has received approval for 12 National Natural Science Foundation projects and 22 provincial- and ministerial-level projects. In the past five years, it has published more than 200 journal papers, participated in compiling 5 national planning textbooks, published 3 monographs, and completed the transfer of 3 invention patents.
